Terms & Conditions
To book, we require that you meet the following conditions:
→ Minimum age: 18 years old. If you are a minor, you must have the permission of your parents or guardian.
→ Valid passport / DNI.
→ International Health Card (Optional).
→ Complete the Personal Information Form (1).
→ Sign the Disclaimer Form (2)
(1) To provide greater security and better service, each participant will be required to complete and email the Personal Information Form. If we do not receive this form, we do not assume responsibility for organizational errors or delays that may arise in your trip.
(2) Each entrant will be required to complete and sign the Disclaimer Form and submit it via email.
→ Considering that all departures are scheduled early in the morning to make the most of the expedition, we suggest that you arrive in Iquitos one day before starting the itinerary and return to Lima one day after finishing it.
→ Many of our itineraries can be customized and adapted to the interests of our travelers.
→ Itineraries and activities may vary according to weather conditions and the seasons that regulate the level of the rivers in the region.
→ Capinuri Expeditions carries out adventure tourism in the jungle. For the night, we camp in the jungle and/or in traditional houses of native villagers (these houses are basic). → Amazon Explorer does not offer luxury trips or lodges.
→ The food served on our expeditions is varied and includes local food. Due to the climate, the meats, vegetables and fruits brought from Iquitos have a limited shelf life. Due to the conditions of the area and logistical limitations, this food will be scarce on expeditions of more than seven days. If necessary, we have MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) Military Rations.
→ The air transport used for the expeditions is subject to the dates established by the Peruvian Air Force, and depending on weather conditions the flight may be postponed. We suggest having additional days at the end of the itinerary. In the event that the flight is suspended, the lost days can be recovered.
→ In the event that the flight used in the expeditions is postponed, Amazon Explorer will not take care of your stay in the city of Iquitos, nor will you receive any type of refund for the missed days.
→ For the Jungle Challenges, we suggest having at least five additional days at the end of the itinerary. Because they are unexplored areas, there is the possibility that some situation will delay us and the arrival in the city of Iquitos will be postponed.
→ Capinuri Expeditions does not assume any responsibility in the event that, due to various circumstances beyond our control, the start or return of your itinerary is delayed, and consequently you miss your flight to Lima or your international flight.
→ Capinuri Expeditions is not responsible for Fortuitous or Force Majeure causes, unforeseeable and unavoidable circumstances that could affect the itinerary. Events that are due to situations beyond our control, such as natural phenomena, roads blocked by stoppages, or other situations that could disrupt our programming.
→ If a participant, group, or part of the group decides to return voluntarily before the end of the itinerary, they will not receive any type of refund from Amazon Explorer, and the traveler(s) will be required to pay the cost of transportation back to Iquitos.
→ Capinuri Expeditions has insurance for our travelers. However, we recommend that each participant has their own international insurance. Amazon Explorer assumes no financial responsibility for any medical or evacuation expenses that may occur, beyond what our insurance covers.
→ Wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed, but by going to a remote area with records of the species in that area, you maximize the chance of finding it.

Reservation and Payment Policy
→ To guarantee the reservation you must send an advance of 50% or all for the selected itinerary. If you do not send the advance money, the date of your reservation is not certain. Your travel date is secured once the deposit is made.
→ Deposits must be made by wire transfer to the Amazon Explorer account or by PayPal (accepts all cards). All bank or money transfer fees must be borne by the customer.
→ Once the money has been sent, you must send the voucher to our email or WhatsApp. What is credited to your Amazon Explorer account is what we will take as part of your payment.
The deadline for booking the programs is as follows
→ Amazonian Tribes: 30 days before the start of the itinerary.
→ Extreme Expeditions: 30 days before the start of the itinerary.
→ Survival in the Jungle: 30 days before the start of the itinerary.
→ Challenges in the Jungle: 60 days before the start of the itinerary.
→ Full payment must be made prior to the start date of your itinerary. In Iquitos you can make the payment in U.S. Dollars (US$) or Peruvian Soles, at the exchange rate of the day indicated by our operators. We also accept credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, AmericanExpress and others).
→ To avoid delays, it is recommended to make the full payment at least 12 hours before the start of the itinerary.
→ Payment in cash in Dollars (US$) must be made with new banknotes: In good condition, without tears, wrinkles or stains, because Peruvian banks do not accept damaged banknotes.
→ For security reasons, ATMs in Iquitos do not always allow cash withdrawals from international accounts. To avoid delays, we suggest that you bring the amount necessary to complete the payment of the itinerary. Check with your bank prior to your trip.
Cancellation Policies
→ 60 days or more before the start of your booked itinerary: 30%.
→ 59 to 15 days before the start of your booked itinerary: 40%.
→ 14 to 10 days before the start of your booked itinerary: 70%.
→ 9 days or less before the start of your booked itinerary: 100%.
For Extreme Expeditions, Amazonian Tribes and Jungle Survival, in case of cancellation of the reservation, the following percentages of the amount sent to Capinuri Expeditions will be withheld:
→ 60 days or more before the start of your booked itinerary: 50%.
→ 59 to 15 days before the start of your booked itinerary: 70%.
→ 14 to 10 days before the start of your booked itinerary: 80%.
→ 9 days or less before the start of your booked itinerary: 100%.
For Challenges or Extreme Survival, in case of cancellation of the reservation, regardless of the cause, the amount sent to Capinuri Expeditions will not be refunded.
